How do I change my windows partition permissions. chmod won't work.
I have a lot of stuff I want to be able to bring to my linux partition. I also have a lot of stuff like music that I just want to be able to play in xmms.
I've tried using chmod as root. As soon as I mount the drive, root becomes the owner. I do not want to run root all the time for security issues. Is there anyway that my user account can access my windows partition? |
I'm not in slack right now, but you need to edit /etc/fstab and add "users" in that partition's options (see man for details)
then you can mount it as a normal user |
