Hostmask wont resolve

When I connect to irc, i normally have ****@my.ip.is.something.client.myisp.com, when i use slackware, at least since i reinstalled it, im getting ****@my.isp.is.something, which is a problem because some channels use the full thing to recognize me, anyways to correct this

Do you mean you don't have ident installed? Not sure what you are asking.
