Unhappy help with slackware 10.2

well i downloaded the lastest iso's of slack 10.2. burned to cd and restart computer. gets to the boot: prompt and i hit enter. gets to the following and just stops:

blk: queue c03af9f0, I/O Limit 4095mb (mask 0xffffffff)

just sits there, cd starts to spin down and thats it.
any ideas? here is my hardware:

amd athlon xp 2500+ overclocked to 2.0ghz
80 gig sata drive on onboard via sata raid primary
60 gig maxtor drive partitioned to 2 30 gig partitions
6 gig western digital drive (gonna use for slack)
1 gig ram
nvidia geforce fx5200
nec dvd r/w drive
zip 100 atapi drive

and i think thats it hehe.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried actually booting the system from the CD, to see if it maybe the kernel or possibly the iso image?

Try reburning the iso at a low speed and test it again. Don't let some small technical issue stop you from using Slackware man. I was plagued by problems way back in the day, now I don't have the same problems....just new ones that I've created. Hehehe.

actually i tried going through each kernel one by one. finally found the one that worked, strange how it ended up like that. bareacpi.i is the one i got to work, installing slack on my comp as we speak. i love slack, last time i used it tho i had a hard time with my usb kvm and wheel mouse. hopefully won't have the same problems this release. i like making problems for myself as well hehe, seems breaking something and fixing it are extremely good learning experiences.....

thanks guys for the help btw, good to know that the community is out there to help out!!

well doing some research on this sata problem revealed that i need to use the sata.i kernel, but when i use that kernel the install cd just stops at the point above. any ideas?
