Help with php...Pleeease ;)

Hi, i'm trying to get PHP to work on my SlackWare 10.2.
I want to install it on my local Server (kind of) for learning purposes without any access to network.
Apache works as it should and i've installed PHP.
When i try my php_scripts there seem to be no connection to the PHP installation.
That is, they dont work

Anybody..?

Both installations are from the same compilation SW 10.2...

... or you can try a package containing all: Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl and many more.
XAMPP

Yeah but i did't get it..
sloppy i know, but hey, so's life..
And the problem i had was with the unpacking/insallatin of the Beta
in Linux.. i did'nt get to the httpd.config there, but i did in XP and path etc etc.
Thats why i got it working in XP.
But i found instructions at XAMPP now for the older versions so i'll try those.
Thanks Kodon, anyway.
