help with Dragonlinux(Slackware7.1)

I am trying to build a distro of linux for my self and chose Dragon linux due to it's ability to run under a fat file system. I have installed it on a Compaq Presario 1200 lap top pc and am having trouble with my modem and pppconfig. It is a lucent winmodem............. last i had my hands on a linux system in late 99 early 2000 under the tutelage of an experienced user(no compiling or finding or installing myself) we found that some people had made drivers for a few winmodems and i was wondering if anyone knew where i might be able to find said drivers. Does anyone else even use DragonLinux?

As far as the winmodem is concerned, here is were you can get the Lucent drivers. I haven't tried DragonLinux before.
