help w/finding a downloadable iso

i've tried many sites and they either didn't have slackware-current or there was an error that said something like: "error, not a directory" and it won't download. i really wanna try slackware out, so could someone give me directions or post a link to a working mirror?

linuxiso.org, It seems like some of the mirrors are down, you need to keep cycling thru the mirrors. Keep trying, I downloaded the Slackware current less than a week ago.

I don't think there is an iso for slackware current. But there are boot disks for slack current. I got to my current via slack 9.1. U just get the slack 9.1 iso and burn the cd then set up the linux box as usual, then use either swaret or manually use upgradepkg to upgrade the individual tgz packages. I do it the manual way.

Just get the 1st 2 cd:

ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.slac...ckware-9.1-iso

There is no iso for current.
You have to download the 9.1, and, after installing, use a tool like swaret (cd2:/extra) to upgrade to current.
But i think there's a way to cook you own current CD .
Can someone explain how?

man mkisofs?

I think there is a little more to it than that but... The docs do provide some info on it, I didn't read them enough to know how though.

If you check in the linuxiso folder there's a readme file on how to make iso CDs of the directory... I acutaly used that to make a DVD version of slack :-D
