Help on downloading

Ok, I'm using Mozilla/Netscape as my webbrowser and I'm trying to figure out how to make the plugin for Shockwave work. I downloaded it and it said to copy these 2 files into the mozilla plug in dir and I did, and it still doesn't work..? Am I doing something wrong? I've never downloaded anything on Linux before.. Also can anyone tell me where I can find an MSN messenger for Linux? Thanks

Ash

Try restart ur browser, make a symbolik link from the downloadid plugin into /usr/lib/mozilla-1.4/plugins as well as /usr/lib/netscape/plugins. U can see whether the plugins r listet on ur browser: Help -> About Plugins ..

U might also want to install plugger, do googling(plugger) as well ..

Do this from a console:

cd into the directory you saved amsn-0_82.tar.gz
tar -zxf amsn-0_82.tar.gz
Go into amsn-0_82 folder and read the INSTALL or README files.

Ok the wish cmd wouldn't work so I d/led something to make it work but now it's saying
"/root/ActiveTcl8.4.4.0-linux-ix86/bin/wish: error while loading shared libraries: libtk8.4.so:cannot open shared object file: no such directory"

It says that when I type ./amsn
The libtk8.4.so is a file in the msn/lib file
