i read lots of tutorials about set setup raid system and tryed a few times but never succeed. i wana set up bootable raid 1. Lets say that i have two disks:
hda with linux installed and partitioned:
hda1: /
hda2: swat
hda3: /usr
hda4: /home
and hdb that i eventually want to raid with hda.
i make hdc partitioned exactly as hda but with "fd" id on 1,3,4 partitions.
then i cretate degradated raid1 using only hdc, and copy all system on it.
modify /etc/fstab ...and then i dont know exactly how on...
Do i have to set raidtab conf? (i read that mdadm dont need it...true?!)
How do i set up lilo ?
Do i have to have kernel with raid support?
