Heads up

Slackware-current now includes 2.6.32.2

Anyone using this yet without problems. I have upgraded to it and on reboot found the following issues:-

1) ATI drivers no longer operate, and the latest download from AMD will not build or install

2) Seems to disable KDEs window manager

3) No longer allows my wireless switch to switch of the interface

On the plus side, at least the touchpad now works without having to frig together a corepointer section in xorg.conf.

I did a FRESH install, no problems which I have not caused on my own :)

Didier Spaier 01-07-2010 06:48 AM

I've stolen 2.6.32.2 from -current and installed it in -stable and it works.

But don't tell anybody ;)

I see .3 just hit kernel.org.

Thanks for the heads up+ ;)

According to the short log, that deserves upgrading here.

Yeah, that's what I did as well. :) I built some new -current isos using Eric's build script. No issues as of yet.

You're welcome. ;) It always catches me this way. Day after I bother to compile a new kernel, they release a new one. Not so much of a problem now, but when I only had my p3-800 a kernel compile took all afternoon, so it was a little annoying.

I'm still on 12.2 with a local built 2.6.27.42 here, though all the latest stuff to hit current is sorely tempting me to swap to current now.

2.6.32.3 as of today.
