HDMI Sound Problem after building a new kernel (Slackware 13.1)

Hello,

I'm currently trying to install unRaid on Slackware following this tutorial :
http://www.lime-technology.com/wiki/...ackware_distro

I'm new to Linux and after many hours, i finally managed to build the new kernel for unRAID (2.6.32.9). But audio on HDMI port doesn't work :(
I tried alsaconf without success. HDMI sound works when i boot into the old kernel.

My codecs are :
Code:

root@unraid:~# cat /proc/asound/Intel/code* | grep Codec
Codec: Realtek ALC888
Codec: Intel G45 DEVIBX

Code:

lspci -v:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 06)
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device 0036
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 22
        Memory at fe420000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
        Capabilities: [60] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
Capabilities: [70] Express Root Complex Integrated Endpoint, MSI 00
        Capabilities: [100] Virtual Channel <?>
Capabilities: [130] Root Complex Link <?>
Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel
        Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

Code:

root@unraid:~# aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: ALC888 Analog [ALC888 Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: ALC888 Digital [ALC888 Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 3: INTEL HDMI [INTEL HDMI]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

On the old kernel where HDMI sound works, i have one more INTEL HDMI device but i can't figure how to get it on my new kernel.

I have this message when doing alsactl init :
Code:

root@unraid:~# alsactl init
Unknown hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Intel G45 DEVIBX" "HDA:10ec0888,80860036,00100202 HDA:80862804,80860036,00100000" "0x8086" "0x0036"
Hardware is initialized using a guess method

I also have a popup at start of KDE telling me i have sound card disconnected.

Thanks for your help :)

Sorry, i should have posted it on Slackware forum probably :/

It's alsaconf, not alsaconfig, to detect your soundcard(s). Don't know if that would solve your problem though.
You can press the "Report" button, and ask a moderator to move this to the Slackware forum, if you want.

I updated alsa. Just after update, i rebooted and hdmi sound was working!
But after an other reboot, alsa didn't find any soundcard ...
I reinstalled the kernel and i'm back at starting point with my soundcard detected but still no HDMI sound. And now that i have the latest alsa version, i have no idea what to do...

Please help :(

Same problem here with a Slack64 13.0 + Nvidia 460 + kernel 2.6.36.2 + alsa lib/oss compat32 from -current.
Have nvidia drivers installed.
