Grub problems

I'm installing Slackware 9 on a laptop that had RH9 on it previously. I repartitioned with fdisk and went through the Slackware install. All went well, no problimo.

I rebooted with the vulcan death grip and all I get is a screen full of:

GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB

I told the Slackware install to setup LILO... could the conflict be there? Also, I reformatted so RH's Grub boot loader should have been 86'd by that. Anyone?

Mk.

You probably installed grub to the mbr, and lilo to your slackware partition. Use a boot disk to get into slackware, and wipe the MBR. Then make sure that the boot flag is toggled to on for the Slack partition and you should be ready to go.
