Grub ...
Hi to everyone,I am new to Slackware and have a few problems but I am in no hurry and expect to reslove them eventually...I will read as much as I can on the subject first as I don,t like asking questions that I could have resolved myself...basically I am just saying hallo so there is no need to reply to this... !
My first little problem is getting Grub to boot my 64 bit Slackware 12.2,I am using the USB booter, but thats OK for now,I have tried numerous entries in my nano/boot/grub.menu.lst and so far without success,I read somehwere that its an innode thing that Slackware and GRUB write differntly...I like Grub,LILO is fine but I am used to GRUB and I have four other operating systems booting nicely,so I would hope to eventually find the right syntax and then move on to the next little problem... Hugh
since you are already booting other distros from your own grub, the easiest way is to install lilo in the root directory of slackware partition from the slackware cd, and chainload from your grub.
