GRRR Kernel issues 2.6.7


Ok well first off i really hope someone replys!!!! ok i went into /testing of slackware and i downloaded the 3 packs kernel-generic kernel-headers and kernel-source installed them using installpkg made another lilo boot and change the oringinal one to /boot/vmlinuz ran lilo rebooted and ran the new kernel......or so i thought started up then got to the part where its suppose to mount my root drive and came to the decision kernel error unable to mount /dev/hda1? Ok what did i frigen do wrong? did i miss a package? did i install this some how wrong? im totaly stupid to this kernel shit kernel 2.6.x we go back far were tight and it always fu*ks up for me it hates me GRRRRR someone??? anyone??? Please??? Thank-you!!!!!

Did you read /boot/README.initrd file ?

for my part I did not have this problem as I compile the 2.6.7 kernel from source however I found the initrd interesting to make boot disk for example

Ya i was going to do that but....i figured that since i dont really much time on my hands anymore i will just install the already build kernel....much easyer!!!
