Graphics

I have a NVIDIA Vanta (Compaq) Video Adapter and I don't know why the graphics are different in Windows and in Linux. In Linux I don't have as good graphics as Linux. Why? Do I need any special driver?

Sorry about the mistake. In Linux I don't have as good graphics as Windows. Do I need any special driver or recompile my kernel?
