gphoto2 on slackbuilds.org

Hi all, I have downloaded gphoto2-2.4.0.tar.bz2 from sourceforge.net and when I check the md5 hash on the file, it doesn't match the one posted on slackbuilds.org

I figured it is just a possible mistake on slackbuilds.org and I want to verify. The problem is I can't find the MD5 documented on sourceforge to compare it. Can someone point me in the direction to find this, or possibly if Robby can check out the posted MD5 on slackbuilds.org for this source.

Thanks.

just use the one from sourceforge.net and build it yourself http://www.gphoto.org/

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc (all the parameter you need)

build libgphoto2 first and gphoto2 second...

If you think there's something wrong with a package on SlackBuilds.org, the best thing is probably to report it on the slackbuilds mailing list.

I have found that that md5sum hash is actually for gphoto2-2.3.1.tar.bz, so you're right, it's wrong. The package builder forgot to update it for version 2.4.0.

This has been fixed - sorry for the oversight. It's the damn little things... :)

For future reference, though, *please* let us know about these sorts of things on our mailing list - I almost didn't see this post at all. Believe it or not, I don't check this forum every day, and neither does Eric (and I don't know about the rest of the SBo team), so this is definitely not the best place to post about bugs with our stuff...

Thanks for the catch though - we appreciate it!

Well, we definitely appreciate the hard work you guys do for us (the ones who use and trust the SBo project).
And yes, http://slackbuilds.org/bugs/ is very clear, so no complains here, hey..nobody 's perfect!
Keep up the good work!

Sorry Robby...point taken. In the future I will be sure to use the mailing list if I see something fishy.

Glad I could help even if it was just a small thing.

Thanks for all the work you and the team do for us!
