gnome-libs-devel...

I'm trying to compile cheops-ng-0.1.12 but i keep running into this error...

checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install

I've downloaded the gnome-libs-devel package and untared it in /home. I thought there would have been a ./configure && make && make install, but there isn't. Now all i have is a dir /opt with the files bin/ doc/ include/ lib/ man/ share/ in it. Do i need to put these files somewhere special for it to find gnomeConf.sh?
