Angry Gnome for Slackware?

Damn Ximian! They wont include Slackware in their downloads section. How can I get Gnome or Gnome 2 (pref. Gnome 2) for Slackware?

I'd rather not do it by source, that would be heinous.

why do you want ximian? just get normal gnome. i've only heard bad things about ximian. but then there's no reason to hear good things in a place like this...

I think GNOME even has a script for installing it over the web... pretty neat, you can download it with lynx and pipe it through bash!

Talking I meant binaries :)

Grr...I meant binaries. On the GET GNOME section, it says to either get binaries from Ximian or get source. Source doesnt sound like an option. Unless it will download itself

From memory, they claim Slackware doesn't have a package manager, so they can't support it. Yeah, right.

Well, Slackware 8.0 includes Gnome 1.4, and slackware-current has the latest updates to 1.4.
I couldn't find any source online for Gnome 2.

Agreed, but that looks like it might be your only option.

Talking Same here..

Same here. I use source for everything except things I deem too massive and complicated to be worth it. Like KDE/GNOME. Everything else I use source.
