gkrellm on --current, can't change any sensors 'factor'
Hello all,
Was wondering if anyone else had a work around for not being able to change the sensor's "factor"? I need to divide the fan speed by 2, but I'm not able to change anything in the configuration. Any help is appreciated. |
Fogie,
Try this: Quote:
heading --> http://linuxcommand.org/man_pages/gkrellm1.html It's kind of a pain in the rear area to do what you need to do. You'll need to make your adjustments in lm_sensors not gkrellm. http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/man/fancontrol Luck with it! |
thanks for the reply vtel57 :)
I think I have two issues here as you mention. 1.) lm-sensors needs me to hack their config's. ( I never had to from Slackware 10.2 thru 12.1 but do now on this pc.) 2.) gkrellm doesn't allow me to use their adjustment buttons. Again never had to before. So looks like I have some hacking for this pc to use --current then. But if this is the only breakage I have, well so be it. :) Off to hacking, thanks again. |
You'll find it's not as painful as it sounds to make those modifications, Old_Fogie. Good luck with it. :)
