gkrellm and nvidia gpu temperature

Hi guys,
from gkrellm 2.2.5 changelog:

I guess "nvidia-settings" is the tool that comes with nvidia drivers...am i right? But i don't understand how it works with gkrellm. Any idea

I would think that works with compatible cards, see :
