gkrellm and nvidia gpu temperature

Hi guys,
from gkrellm 2.2.5 changelog:
Quote:

Tom Felker patch: add to Linux sensors nVidia video card temperature
reading via the nvidia-settings command.
I guess "nvidia-settings" is the tool that comes with nvidia drivers...am i right? But i don't understand how it works with gkrellm. Any idea
Have a nice day

I would think that works with compatible cards, see :

With my card, GeForce FX 5700 LE, this info is not displayed
