Ghostscript 9.04 and 13.37

I finally managed to track down a bug with the original (9.0) version of Ghostscript that comes with 13.37. With the Splix driver, some graphics would print as photographic negatives. I saw that there was 9.02 version in patches so I installed that. That fixed the photographic negative bug but introduced another. Ghostscript 9.02 segfaults if I try to print in landscape--which I need to do on at least a weekly basis. A bit of Google searching showed me that 9.04 fixes a lot of these segfaults. I found a Slackbuild to compile it. Initial testing shows that both bugs are fixed with it. I'm a little leery of this Slackbuild, but it works thus far.

My question is: what would be the best way to report this/ask for an upgrade? Should I just email Pat directly or is there a better way?

I would try e-mailing Pat V. He sometimes comes on here, but it doesn't seem to be often. There are devs that also come on here, so they may see it as well.

I'm glad you found this bug, because I remember that I had problems with it too. My solution was to convert documents to djvu, but I never found out why it was happening ... now I know.
