During the install of slackware, you have the option to deside where LILO will install it's stuff.

If you are using any windows NT based OS (NT / 2000 / XP) , then it's possible to boot into linux from the windows bootloader.

Using anyting W95 up to Millenium , you will have to write LILO at MBR, and then add an entry in LILO's config-file (lilo.conf) enabling you to boot the windows-sytem .

I'm running XP, do you suggest that I just run the XP Recovery Console and setup the XP bootloader or should I just scratch my Linux install and run LILO all the way?

WHEW!

Oh man, that was hell. I just ripped apart my whole case, moved my Hard Drives around, set jumpers, wiped 3 drives clean and reinstalled slackware and XP.

It was all worth it!

I'm posting this message from Konqueror right now and I'm in heaven! Thanks for the help everyone, it looks like my problem was loading the Kernel off of a floppy. Time to fix my soundcard.

Well matt, I'm really not the person to be asking questions to! I'm learning too... I'd post your question on the front page. If I can help, I'll try, but I think you'll have better luck with an expert.
