can it be done with xdm???
i ask because my xdm seems to work fine...
i installed gdm, and it's not working yet... i'm thinking dependancy problems or configuration...
the pc boots-up fine but when it's trying to load gdm it stalls, not command line-style, but (as best i can describe it) a sorta-gui way (the mouse cursor is there, and there's a weird grey background, but nothing else)... so then i have to go back to runlevel 3 to be able to work...
what's the basic configuration needed to get gdm running???
what's the basic dependancies it needs to be satisfied???
slackware rules!!!
=)
