Unhappy Getting kde started in Slackware v10?

I have installed slackware v10. I wanted to know if there is any way to get kde started, because everytime i use startx command.. gnome interface is automatically loaded. Please help!

I think the command is xwmconfig, then choose kde from the list.

echo "startkde" > ~/.xinitrc
then try startx

xwmconfig will select the default windowmanager. That's the normal Slackware way of setting the windowmanager.
