Everything seems to be working but the problem persists, even get it occasionally on my Kubuntu OS now. I can live with it but it's irritating.

I can understand it being irritating, but have you tried to diagnose the various steps? It could be caused by any number of things, so until you try to figure out what part of bringing up the card and configuring it is going haywire, we're only going to be able to guess.
