Question Get rid of invalid KDE menu

Dear all.

I'm on Slack 9.0.
I installed KDE, though minimalist without games, toys, abiword, netscape, etc.
The problem was, the KDE menu still contains those not installed programs.
How can I clean the menu, the fast and correct way.
I did it manually but was getting bored. There should be a better way.

Thanks.

all the menus are held in /opt/kde/share/applnk but i have had problems on kde2 when messing with these, so the best way (i think) is to use the kmenueditor thingy all your user prefs are in ~.kde2/share/applnk
