GDM selects wrong Window Manager from Sessions list Slackware 12.1

I've done a lot of searching on this, typically this is a problem I could resolve myself but has baffled me all of a sudden. I believe I installed Gware for Slackware 12.1. I have a nice Gnome Desktop (in which if you would like to gander im posting it on Linux packages with my other desktop screenshots) but I use other window managers all the time. I have E17 installed, Ice-WM etc etc. GDM somehow when I select Enlightenment launches fluxbox instead. I've looked in /etc/X11/gdm/Xsessions and commented out the ones I don't need and added my own. I also went back to runlevel 3 and ran xwmconfig to see if anything was wrong there but everything launched fine. I guess my main question is what file is controlling my display of sessions? I thought it was /etc/X11/gdm/Xsessions but changing this does nothing. I didn't restart GDM by itself so I just rebooted the whole thing. Does anyone know where this mystery file exists?

Look around /etc/X11/xinit/ and see if there are any poorly linked files or perhaps a stray line in the xinitrc.<wm> file.

Everything seems fine xinitrc, in /etc/X11/init was symlinked to xinitrc.fluxbox but I removed that and now it just drops me to a failsafe unless I choose gnome. I still need to be able to edit my sessions list anyone up for it?

I fixed it. in /etc/X11/gdm there is custom.conf. There was a line like such

Quote:
SessionDesktopDir=/usr/share/xsessions/
It had some other directories in it and was commented out, still doesn't solve where the choices were coming from in the first place but this will fix it.
