Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

After I installed x-unikey, I run gedit. I receive this error
Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

How to get rid of ?

If you startx from a console login
export LC_ALL=C and then startx

If from gdm then choose a language.
