garbled resolustion
 

ok maybe this question has already been asked but ive run out of resources. ok heres my issue and im sure the fix is simple and im not paying enough attention to detail.

1. at boot my fonts are extremely bigger than i have configured, even after running liloconfig and editing lilo.conf

2. once i log into X (KDE) and switch to another pty/console and then back the res is all garbled and am unable to refresh


any ideas ? TIA

I take it you're using Vesafb?
Probably a GeForce card?

If that's the case, there's two options that I know of. Either turn off framebuffer entirely, or install a kernel patched with the vesafb-tng patch.
