Is this Slackware 12.1 RC 1 yet? It has to be close.

does anyone know if Slackware will include support for virtualisation ?

Virtual Box runs just fine on my 12.0 and -current boxes. I seriously doubt Pat will ever include it in /extras.

I know it runs flawlessly ... many people have said that before. My point is ... virtualisation is becoming more and more commonplace and thats why it should be included in /extra thats all.

Other than that , it is a PAIN to install VirtualBox compared to how easy it would be if Pat decides to put it in.

I'd like to see an 'upgrade' option in the installer, like how FreeBSD has an option to upgrade itself when run setup from the disc.

Oh, I had no problems installing it.

I definitely agree that virtualisation is an increasingly used tool - it's invaluable to my work.

comeon, no package is as easy as something approved by PAT in the slackware DVD

I prefer the upgrading.txt format. Helps me keep on eye on what I am upgrading to.
