Format of slack-desc file
I've composed a slack-desc file for packages I have created. However, the description never got displayed whenever I use pkgtool to try and install it. Can someone point out to me what's wrong? Here's one of my sample slack-desc file:
Code:
# HOW TO EDIT THIS FILE: |
*bump!*
Come on, I know at least half of you guys know how to do this :) |
hehe I'll be honest that I don't know how to do it! :D

Having Problems Too
I have my slack-desc correct, and yet when running
installpkg it won't show any description of the package. I even took one of the slack packs from the 9.0 cd and used a slack-desc from it, and put it in my /install direc without editiing it at all, and even as a default slack-desc it wouldn't show the description either from that slack pkg. What is wrong here ? I've been told there is a bug to installpkg when making third party pkgs getting installpkg to show the descriptions. |
I GOT IT
Ok I finally slayed the dragon hehe, see the version of the tar I made: --> grub-0.92.i686-1.tgz the damm . after 92 was the problem you have to make it like this
