Format of slack-desc file

I've composed a slack-desc file for packages I have created. However, the description never got displayed whenever I use pkgtool to try and install it. Can someone point out to me what's wrong? Here's one of my sample slack-desc file:

Code:

# HOW TO EDIT THIS FILE:
# The "handy ruler" below makes it easier to edit a package description.  Line
# up the first '|' above the ':' following the base package name, and the '|' on
# the right side marks the last column you can put a character in.  You must make
# exactly 11 lines for the formatting to be correct.  It's also customary to
# leave one space after the ':'.

Having Problems Too

I have my slack-desc correct, and yet when running
installpkg it won't show any description of the package.
I even took one of the slack packs from the 9.0 cd and used a slack-desc from it, and put it in my /install direc without editiing it at all, and even as a default slack-desc it wouldn't show the description either from that slack pkg. What is wrong here ? I've been told there is a bug to installpkg when making
third party pkgs getting installpkg to show the descriptions.

You mean to tell me that the name of the tgz itself has an affect on the rendering of the slack-desc file?

Weird! But I'll try it anyway when I get home.
