Force Truecrypt to run in CLI only

My system is Slackware 13.37.
I have installed Truecrypt using package from this location:
http://slackware.org.uk/slacky/slack...truecrypt/7.1/

I use Command Line interface.
When I try to mount encrypted volume, I receive this error:
Code:
root@slacx:~# truecrypt /dev/sdb /mnt/hd --filesystem=ntfs-3g
Error: Unable to initialize gtk, is DISPLAY set properly?
which means that it tries to run truecrypt in GUI.
I want to do that in CLI only.
How to force Truecrypt to execute in CLI only ?

EDIT:
I have also tried Alien Bob Version but I have still this same problem.
http://connie.slackware.com/~alien/s...ypt/pkg/13.37/

First let me say that I am not a Truecrypt user and completely unfamiliar with it...

But looking at the man page and some examples I found online, it seems to me that from the shell you should be able to issue specific commands which will have immediate effect, while some others would invoke the GUI.

I don't really know what the example you gave does, but it looks very similar to starting cfdisk interactively with a specific device. If it is an interactive command then it might be expected to open the GUI.

If you try some other command format that should have immediate effect (and I would not be able to suggest one - see the man page) then see if it still wants to start the GUI.

In other words - I think some commands implicitly require the GUI while others will not.

Hope this gives some useful food for thought...

[EDIT]
Just found this:

Note: Type "truecrypt" instead and manage your encrypted volumes from the GUI or specify the necessary options to work in the command line. (truecrypt -h)

[/EDIT]

I never used Truecrypt, but I use encfs to encrypt my stuff. It is a CLI tool. If you like to try it, it is actively maintained on slackbuilds.org
