For the enthusiast.
Well I have decided to build a new system. This system will be a full custom rig build by me. The Theme will be called "Oscuridad"
I am sure there is a few Linux Hardware enthusiast lurking the forum.
So far here is what I got in the boiling pot.
Intel I7 2600+ K
Gigabyte A-X58A-UD3R
G.SKILL Ripjaws X + Turbulence II Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)
ENERMAX REVOLUTION85+ ERV1020EWT 1020W (Peak 1120W) ATX12V / EPS12V v2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
EVGA GeForce GTX 480 x3 SLI
The case and colling (Water cooled) still to be determine.
This system will be purely for GPU/CPU crunching and it will be dedicated to LQ and the Slackware forum.
GPUGRID watch out!
This one will continue on the blog... I think... I really dont like to blog :P lol

Hi,
Cool, but have you ever considered clusters?

Have fun with that one!

I had thought about clustering just not sure if it would be worth it as I have only one more system that's powerful enough and thats my current desktop...
