Exclamation Fontconfig error; can't start X

I've tried to recompile fontconfig due to cairo not finding freetype > 2.1.4 bug. However, my fontconfig has been messed up because old fonts.conf file was overwritten by new. Now I can't start X because get an error:
Quote:
No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig library is not correctly configured. You may need to edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information about fontconfig can be found in fontconfig(3) manual page and on http://fontconfig.org/
I've tried to remove fontconfig package and then install new, but it didn't help. Then tried to edit my fonts.conf file, but it didn't work too (same error), even paths to fonts seems correct.
However, I managed to start enlightenment because it uses its own fonts and opera with ? over letters (other graphical browsers do not work).

My problem is very similar to this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=248583 Sadly, no solution was made here.

My fonts.conf:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">
<!-- /etc/fonts/fonts.conf file to configure system font access -->
<fontconfig>

<!--
	DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE.
	IT WILL BE REPLACED WHEN FONTCONFIG IS UPDATED.
	LOCAL CHANGES BELONG IN 'local.conf'.

	The intent of this standard configuration file is to be adequate for
	most environments. If you have a reasonably normal environment and
	have found problems with this configuration, they are probably
	things that others will also want fixed. Please submit any
	problems to the fontconfig bugzilla system located at fontconfig.org

	Note that the normal 'make install' procedure for fontconfig is to
	replace any existing fonts.conf file with the new version. Place
	any local customizations in local.conf which this file references.
