Fluxbox startup script.......... App requires root.

Howdy,

I am running Slack 10 with Fluxbox 0.9.10. I have figured out the basics in a startup script but want to start firestarter gui when I load Flux. The only problem is it requires root access in order to do this. Is there any way to start an App that needs root access in the startup script? If so can someone explain to me how this is done? Thanks in advance.

you'd want to look at sudo. but why would you want to load that? you do realise that the UI isn't the firewall? the acutal firewall part loads on boot, not when X loads... it will already be actively protecting you before then.

How do I make sure that my firestarter starts at boot? Just to make sure. I do really like having the gui running and still would like to know the method of getting it to run at Flux start. Not only for a sense of security for having it visable, but just so I know how to do this for future reference.
