Flashplayer Plugin 11.2.202.424: Firefox Says It's Vulnerable and Needs to be Updated


Um, any way to get and install a non vulnerable version anywhere?

Well, update it with the latest version 11.2.202.425 perhaps?

Uh, yes it was (I went and looked to see if I could find something after posting. Duh).

Yeah, you go to Adobes site where you find out that the current release is the last supporting Linux and download the "tar.gz for other Linux." Edit the SlackBuilds.org SlackBuild and change the version number from 424 to 425, run the SlackBuild, upgradepkg and it works.

Sorry for the fuss and bother, but this one is solved.

I downloaded the latest from Adobe; 11.2.202.425, edited the slackbuild for the version, built it and installed it. I have not done extensive testing, it seems to be working as expected with a quick test. The vulnerable warning is gone.
