flashplayer display problem

I'm running flashplayer 7 with Firefox-1.0.2 on several pages the flash content doesn't display correctly. I've tried both the full install of flashplayer 7 as well as the firefox plugin. I'm running Slackware-10.1 with the stock 2.4.29 kernel.

another noob suggestion

gnu noob:

You can make symbolic links to the plugins in the netscape folder ... wich actually may work correctly (works for me in mozilla when upgrade to 1.7.7 ). I'm a slackuser too. but i don't thinks this matter in this case.

If you use the .tgz package from Slackware ( http://slackware.com/pb/showdesc.php...x-1.0.3-i686-1 ) firefox must be in ... /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.3/ ...

If you don't have 1.0.3 you can install this package with "pkgtool".

this is "ls -l" of my plugins folder of mozilla

Code:
... libflashplayer.so -> /usr/lib/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so
... libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/lib/java/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so*
... libnullplugin.so*
To make symlinks type this

cd /usr/lib/firefox-xxx/plugins (or your firefox install path/plugins)
ln -s /usr/lib/netscape/plugins/libflashplayer.so libflashplayer.so

ln --> make links
-s --> tells ln it is symbolic

Anyway, I almost don't use flash because I'm an ad-hater , I use a plugin named flashblock , to block all the flash content , and display only the ones I want.

I hope this will help you.

Andres V.
