First time fluxbox problem

I just installed a copy of slackware 10.2 on my laptop. I have succesfully ran it on this laptop before using KDE. This time I decided to try out fluxbox however I don't know much about it, but there was only one way to find out by trying it However when I try and boot it up I just get a white screen, I get a cursor that I can move around but thats it. I don't know if there is anything else I need to setup or if I did anything wrong. Any suggestions/answers?

Right click on the desktop. Will it open a menu?

That's an easier solution than I was expecting. Great to hear it. The first thing I did once I got into fluxbox was edit my menu. Everything's under ~/.fluxbox

Have fun

Yeah blackbox/fluxbox/openbox are pretty cool minimalist wms for guys that like clean desktops. I go to themes.freshmeat.net and find a theme I like (based only on the buttons and window dressing) and then I make my own wallpapers or find pics I like and create my own theme. I set up my menus manually like rigelan said. It's really easy and you have a nice clean desktop.

There are some apps and maybe a built-in to create menus but the menus don't ever get set up the way I want and anyway I don't choose something like black/fluxbox to start adding management apps on top of it but if that's your thing there are some.

If you like icons on the desktop you can do it with ROX-filer and some other apps. ROX is great to have anyway even if you don't want desktop icons.
