Firefox problem

Hi

I've got a little problem with my firefox, I noticed that after I installed some extensions from firefox site like noscript and addblock my download progress manager didn't start, but that wasn't that bad, today I try to install some other extensions to substitute my download progress bar, firefox crashed, so I reinstalled it, same thing happens, just like before.

Thx

hello,

maybe your profile is a mess.
Try to start firefox from a console with "firefox --safe-mode"

This will start a session without any themes or extensions, to let you clean your profile.

If the problem comes back, then you can remove the file downloads.rdf (in ~/.mozilla/firefox/profilename), that'll probably help.
It's also a good idea that you remove the downloads in the downloadmanager (Edit --> Preferences --> Privacy --> Private Data --> Download history), that prevents the downloads.rdf file from corruption.

Note: when one makes changes in the profile, be sure that Firefox is closed.
