Firefox, multilib, and certain websites

Howdy all,

I'm running Slackware64-13.1 with Alien Bob's multilib and his 64bit flash plugin. For the most part everything runs smoothly, but certain websites (cnn.com in particular) will bring Firefox to a crawl and eventually lock it up.

I'm running FF 3.6.10 with NoScript (no Flashblock, yet), and a few other add-ons, but nothing that should cause this issue. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a similar issue.

Also, I've installed VMWare Player recently. I have installed XP Pro on it and everything runs fine. After a few hours things start to go funny. Using my touchpad's scroll starts to change the fonts on whatever website I'm on, new pages won't open, I can't change tabs, Xfce starts behaving funny, etc.; anyone having this problem? any tips, something I might be missing?

TIA,
Scott

If you are using a 64bit version of flash, be warned that it is still under development, may contain security holes, and may not be stable.

The recommended thing right now seems to be nspluginwrapper with 32bit flash on 64bit firefox.

64bit Firefox 3.6.10, and the latest 64bit flash (from Alien Bob) work just fine on my system running Slackware64-current, even at cnn.com. :)

After going through NoScript and "forbidding" a few things, it seems to have cleared up.

Thanks guys!
