./firefox-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_s

I upgraded to Slack 11 (upgradepkg --install-new /slackware/*/*.tgz on both discs) today and I'm now unable to run Gaim, XChat, and Firefox. I get the following error:
./firefox-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libpango-1.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_slice_free_chain_with_offset
I was previously getting:
./firefox-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_object_compat_control
But I tracked that down to a problem with libgobject.

I'm totally stumped as to how to fix this Pango issue. All the files relating to Pango in /usr/lib look fine.

For what it's worth, here's the output from ldd firefox-bin:

I went so far as to removepkg on gaim as well as delete anything that was left behind and then reinstalled the package.

I did the same for Pango.

I believe the "undefined symbol: g_slice_free_chain_with_offset" error comes from a missing glib2-2.10.3-i486-1 package.

I also see this in your ldd output:
Code:
 libxpcom_core.so => not found
as well as lots of references to "/usr/local/firefox".
The file libxpcom_core.so is contained in Slackware 11.0's firefox, thunderbird and seamonkey packages.

I'd say you messed up and need to clean your porch. This is not a Slackware upgrade problem really.

I think the problem lies somewhere in the fact that I'd added and removed things from my previous Slackware install.

I ended up just doing a fresh install and moving my backups in and everything's fine.
