Firefox and flash

I am having trouble. On a couple of sites I get an error that says i do not have flash installed. When I check the browser it says that flash is installed and active.

Maybe you need a newer version? How did you install flash? Do you remember?

I am running kernel 2.6.10, slack current, and dropline. It was installed on mozilla 1.7.5 and netcsape 7.2 I downloaded the flash installer for linux uncompressed it and ran the installer. I put in the path to the componets folder in firefox. Then i did it for mozilla and it said flash was installed but an old version so i updated it. I checked the browsers and they all have that flash is installed and active. I installed 7.0 flash.

This maybe a site specific issue. What are some URL's that give you this error?
