Firebird start problem!!! - runuser???

Hi all!!!
I must install a Firebird (SS 1.5.2 or SS 1.5.5) server on 12.
During installation I got messages:

"Press Enter to start installation or ^C to abort"
"Extracting install data

Starting Firebird server: /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions: line 226: runuser: command not found

[FAILED]

Fixing firebird's shell to /bin/sh

Starting Firebird server: /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions: line 226: runuser: command not found

[FAILED]"

Where can I find "runuser" command in Slackware?
Is it possible to start Firebird server in other way?

Based on what I've seen using google, runuser is a trimmed down version of su. You may be able to create an alias (or even create a symlink) for runuser to invoke su instead.
