"filesystems support" needed for minimal kernel build?

I am building a minimized 6.2.2 linux kernel using slackware on a dinosaur of a computer: AMD Athlon +1700 Single Core processor, 1gig of DDR SDRAM.

This is my first time compiling a linux kernel, so before I make any major mistakes, I could use some help in determining which filesystems I absolutely must enable support for. Ext2 is allready in.

This is all preference. You don't have to use ext2, if you want you can choose to either go with ext3, ext4, or you can just use ReiserFS, or XFS or JFS only. It is your system you can support or not support whatever FS you choose.

VFS - Virtual File System. See this article on that since it would explain it better than I could.
