Filesystems

I would like to know in a nutshell the differences between XFS, JFS, ext3 and ReiserFS. I'm sure there are other filesystems too, but I don't know of any , or I can't really think of them right off the top of my head, its just these 4 that I keep running into the most.. I don't know much on XFS or JFS, but i have worked with ext3, and read just a little bit on ReiserFS, and spoken to people who have used ReiserFS. The one main thing they said about reiser, that although it is a very good journaling fs, it is rather slow in performance wise. I would like to know the exact differences in each, and is it just a matter of opinion on which to use, or is there one that is actually preferred the most on the linux community. If giving descriptions on each is rather lengthy, then a weblink to these filesystems and their descriptions, and history would be fine, but I would still like to know which is the most widely used.

Maybe this will help:

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...3+and+ReiserFS

I found a good link a while back on journaling file systems, but can't remember it right now.
