fglrxconfig:command not found

hello all,
i am a newbie and i tried to do stuff myself and i have screwed up somewhere...
i have a kernel version 2.6.18
i tried to install the drivers i downloaded for xorg 6.8 from the ATI official website, for my integrated ATI Radeon X200 graphics card.
the file was named "fglrx_6_8_0-8.33.6-1.i386.tgz" after i converted it into tgz.
but after going through the instructions i donot find any fglrxconfig file to run
hence it says
Quote:

fglrxconfig:command not found
also without going through the fglrxconfig ,
i type "
Quote:

aticonfig --initial
" and put a default section in the xorg.conf file, but this on reboot says
Quote:

Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
and x fails to start.
where am i screwing up?:newbie:

Read this sticky:

There is very good info there on ATI and other gpu drivers.
