fan does not start automatically when CPU overheated on old laptop

Hi Linux funs !

I have a troube with my cpu fan.
For years I use Debian Etch with no problem with it.
Recently I decided to install Slackware 12. Installed. So now i have both Debian & Slackware on my oldie (laptop Toshiba AMD k-7 150Mb RAM)
When I using Debian and CPU`s overheating - fun spins up unless CPU cooled down to the normal temperature. This`s normal process.
Now when I using Slackware my CPU`s fan completely turned off and does not start automatically. So, when CPU overheated - self-protection system halted my machine.
Please help me what shoud I do to solve this problem.

check if the modules for ac, thermal, and fan has been loaded in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules

No, in rc.modules file none of mentioned modules. Should i modprobe them manually or add them to rc.modules file ?

Willysr ! Good. It does work for me. When I modprobe`d these moudules my CPU`s fan starts automatically.

A lot of thanks to you & LQ. BRGDS

then you should add those modules in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules so it will be loaded automatically on each boot :)
