Failed to start FTP server - server daemon when in inetd mode.
 
i have installed proftpd in my machine.
i run the ftp server through webmin.
when i click start server,webmin gave me this kind of error:

"Failed to start FTP server : You cannot start the server daemon when in inetd mode."

my module config is look like this:

Configurable options for ProFTPD Server
Configurable options
Test config file before applying changes?1 Yes 0 No
Test config file after manual changes?1 Yes 0 No
Test config file after other change?1 Yes 0 No
System configuration
Path to ProFTPD config file/etc/proftpd.conf
Path to ProFTPD executable/usr/sbin/proftpd
Path to ProFTPD PID file1 None 0 /var/run/proftpd.pid
Path to ftpusers file/etc/ftpusers
Command to start ProFTPD1 Automatic 0
Command to stop ProFTPD1 Just kill process 0

i do not know what should i do.
hope somebody help me with this new thread.

You should take a look at this file and search for the line "ServerType ...". If you want to start proftpd from inetd it should read "ServerType inetd". If you want to start/stop the server manually or through startup scripts, it should read "ServerType standalone"
