ext2, ext3, or reiserfs?

First of all, I'm having trouble getting lilo to work at all with a dual boot on two harddisk's and I had just read something somewhere about lilo not being able to use ext2? And that is the file system I choose when installing... So is that true?

If it is what file system should I use? Could someone explain to me what exactly the differences are?

Thanks!

Lilo can read all of them just fine. Most likely not a problem with lilo but something else within your system if its not booting properly, like lilo not configured properly.

Post more details about your setup, lilo.conf file, hard disks, partition setups, etc and we might be of more help, if no details, were as clueless as you are as we can't guess what the problem is.

Well I had already posted my lilo dual-boot problems previously, so I didn't want to make a post the same as my other.

Before it was printing "LILO - Keytable read/checksum error". Then I disabled EZ-BIOS and now it is printing L 07 07 07 07 ...etc.

I have windowsxp on /dev/hda and slackware9.1 on /dev/hdb. It boots from the superblock of /dev/hdb. My partitions on /dev/hdb are: /dev/hdb1 - 1 to 256 - linux swap, /dev/hdb2 - * - 257 to end - linux. I have /bootsect.lnx on /dev/hda and c:\boot.ini configured correctly and my lilo.conf was automated and I added lba32...

That's basically it. Anything else you might need to know?
