/etc/fstab fails to work ...???

I've noticed that /etc/fstab don't work on my system ..I'm talking about the vfat mounting part. I have 2 vfat partitions and they don't work so ..I checked the logs and I found the following error

Code:

Unable to load NLS charset iso8859-1

FAT: IO charset iso8859-1 not found

Any Ideas? How should I fix that?

you have to add iso8859 support in your kernel

in 2.6.7 kernel config, it is :

File Systems --> Native Language Support -->NLS ISO 8859-1
