Error installing VMWare on Slackware
Hi there,
Just to give you a brief history. I've installed VMWare on XP so that I will be able to use Slackware 8.1. Now I want to be able to do the reverse. Run Slackware and have a vm to XP. I've first tried to look for my answer on this website to prevent redundancy but to no luck. This is my error. ------------ What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] (I would type in the suggested folder and this is my error) The kernel defined by this directory header files is multiprocessor, while your running kernel is uniprocessor. (It then asks me the same question) What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] (Any suggestions?) Foxy |
i wouldn have thought it would actually want /usr/src/linux/include/linux/ but assuming that that error message is accurate, see what asm point to in that directory. on an intel system, it should be a smylink to asm-i386. maybe it's not set u pright on your system

Acid_kewpie, I checked my include directory. And there is a symbolic link from asm to asm-i386. I'd show you a screen shot of my error and directory.. but I cant post it here. Foxy |
